Ilja Friedel is an experienced software engineer with a strong background in display driver development and graphics software. Ilja worked at NVIDIA from September 2005 to September 2008, initially focusing on display driver development for Windows XP and Vista, contributing to the emulation and bring-up of new graphics chips, such as the GeForce 8800 and ION. Progressing to a senior software engineer role, Ilja developed tools for managing internal driver builds and enhanced the test automation infrastructure for complex certification processes. Since February 2011, Ilja has been part of Google's Chrome OS UI/graphics team, emphasizing hardware video acceleration, Pepper integration between Chrome and Adobe Flash, and automated testing of the graphics stack.
