Ingwon Song

Ingwon Song, Ph.D., possesses extensive experience in software engineering and architecture, having held leadership roles at various prominent companies. At NEXON KOREA, significant contributions included improving real-time charging systems and designing a global game platform. As a Software Architect at Nexon America, Ingwon implemented microservice architecture and enhanced web infrastructure, while currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Google, focusing on Istio Wasm and Service Mesh. Previous roles included CTO and later CEO at Weclay Inc., where Ingwon designed and optimized video and text communication systems, as well as developing a real-time operating system for unmanned aerial vehicles. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Computer Science from KAIST, complemented by a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in the same field.
