Inseok Yang, Ph.D, has extensive experience in the field of micro LED technology and semiconductor research. Starting as a researcher at LG Chem, Inseok contributed to cell design for high-capacity Li-ion battery cells. Subsequently, Inseok advanced to Meta, focusing on the integration of micro LED displays for augmented reality applications and played a key role in the development of the Orion AR glasses. Inseok's expertise expanded further at Samsung Electronics as the Micro LED-on-Si Device Architecture Lead, where responsibilities included developing GaN-based uLED display panels and leading technical integration efforts. Currently, Inseok serves as a Micro LED Display Product Engineer at Google, overseeing performance-related activities of micro LED display panels. Inseok holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics and a Master of Science in Materials Science & Engineering from Yonsei University, along with a Ph.D. in Physics (III-V semiconductor) from The Australian National University.
