Jacob Barrett has extensive experience in data science and security, notably serving as the Director of Tech & Foundations within Trust & Safety at Google from October 2017 to February 2025. Prior to this, Jacob directed Security Intelligence at Google, overseeing a team that tackled significant security threats such as account takeovers and phishing. Earlier experience includes leading Safe Browsing operations for Google and working as a Senior Data Analyst at Manage.com, where Jacob utilized analytics to inform strategic decisions. Jacob's foundational skills were developed during a tenure at the Central Intelligence Agency, specializing in big data intelligence analysis, and starting in research at the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission. Jacob holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and International Relations from Brown University.
