Jacob Barrett is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in data analysis and security. Currently serving as Director of Tech & Foundations, Trust & Safety at Google since March 2015, Jacob leads a team of over 160 data scientists and analysts focused on AI safety and user protection. Prior roles at Google include Director of Security Intelligence and Global Lead of Safe Browsing Operations, where responsibilities involved protecting users from significant security threats and overseeing initiatives that safeguard billions of users online. Before joining Google, Jacob served as a Senior Data Analyst at Manage.com and held various analytical positions at the Central Intelligence Agency, where responsibilities spanned intelligence analysis and open source information dissemination. Jacob holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Brown University.
