Jacob Dormuth

Jacob Dormuth is a seasoned professional in machine learning and software engineering, currently serving as a Software Engineer at Google, focusing on Google Photos since October 2021. Jacob co-founded the USC Center for AI in Society's Student Branch (CAIS++) and developed a machine learning curriculum during tenure from January 2017 to January 2019. Previous experience includes serving as a Machine Learning Consultant from January 2019 to July 2020, where Jacob worked on natural language processing and audio clustering projects for notable organizations such as Sony Music and the Entertainment Technology Center at USC. Jacob also held roles as a Machine Learning Research Intern at Two Six Technologies, where first authorship on a published paper was achieved, and as an Information Security Intern at Intuit, developing state-of-the-art machine learning detection algorithms. Jacob earned both a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (Machine Learning Emphasis) and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Southern California.
