James Bartley

UX Motion Design

James Bartley is a highly experienced motion designer, animator, and creative director with a diverse background in various roles across multiple companies. Since founding Melody Jams in April 2016, Bartley has successfully conceptualized and delivered a popular music app for children, achieving significant recognition on the App Store. Prior experience includes work at Facebook on product experimentation and motion design for visual systems, as well as contributions to Google Maps and Google's Pixel Watch as a UX Motion Designer. Additional roles at notable companies like Nickelodeon, The Museum of Modern Art, and The Mill showcase extensive expertise in animation, design, and motion graphics, complemented by a BA in Graphic Design from Stockton University and a Diploma in Digital Design from Vancouver Film School. Currently, Bartley serves as Co-Creator and Creative Lead for Dodo Peak on Apple Arcade, leading a development team in an independent gaming project.
