James Robinson

James Robinson is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in hardware engineering and product development. At Christie Digital Systems, James served as Senior Director of Research and Innovation, leading a team focused on technology innovation and identifying new opportunities for non-product areas. James then became VP of Hardware Engineering at North, where significant achievements included the development of custom-built AR smartglasses featuring novel technology. Currently, James is involved in hardware development for AR/VR at Google. Prior experience includes serving as Senior Director of Display and Touch Development at Research in Motion, managing a large team dedicated to enhancing the optical and touch experience for Blackberry products. James holds a B.A.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo.
