Jared Chinn

Jared Chinn has a diverse background in engineering and education, beginning with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Professional experience includes serving as Director at Skyhawks Sports Academy from June 2009 to September 2012, overseeing sports camps for children. Subsequently, Jared worked as a Laboratory Assistant at UC Santa Barbara Materials Processing Laboratory, providing maintenance and innovative solutions for laboratory equipment. As an Undergraduate Researcher, Jared contributed to microfluidic experiments and polymer behavior studies. A mechanical engineering internship at OCZ Storage Solutions focused on designing a mechanical shock test fixture for solid-state drives. Jared's career progressed through roles at Fitbit as a Failure Analysis Engineer and Associate Engineer, culminating in the current position of Quality Program Manager for Fitbit at Google, starting in February 2022.
