Jared Cottrell

Jared Cottrell is an experienced professional in software engineering and technology leadership, having co-founded mLab where Jared served as CTO and Director of Engineering from January 2016 to August 2018. Prior roles include Director of Platform Engineering at MotiveCast and Senior Associate at Scient, as well as Director of Engineering at Merced Systems from January 2002 to September 2010. Since September 2018, Jared has been working as a Software Engineer at Google. Educationally, Jared holds both a Master of Engineering in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where studies took place from 1993 to 1998, alongside obtaining a high school diploma from Niskayuna High School.
