Jeff Gardner

Jeff Gardner has a robust academic and professional background in the fields of astronomy, physics, and research. Gardner served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Pittsburgh from 2001 to 2003, followed by a role as a Senior Research Scientist and affiliated Assistant Professor at the University of Washington from July 2008 to January 2010. Prior experience includes a position as Senior Scientific Specialist at the Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center from 2003 to 2008 and a tenure as an NSF-NATO Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Cambridge in 2000. Gardner contributed to the Google Exacycle Program as Visiting Faculty from 2011 to December 2013 and has been working as a Software Engineer at Google since January 2014. Educational qualifications include a PhD and MS in Astronomy from the University of Washington, and a BA in Physics from Cornell University.
