Jeff Gilbert

Jeff Gilbert is a seasoned Principal Software Engineer and Director at Google, where responsibilities include developing technological solutions to combat climate change and leading teams in computer vision and machine intelligence for mobile devices. With a robust career in the tech industry, Jeff previously directed the wireless mesh and backhaul team for Project Loon, contributing to innovative internet solutions using stratospheric balloons. Jeff serves on the Board of Directors for WiSA Technologies, Inc., focusing on wireless audio integrated circuits, and has held leadership positions at Silicon Image, SiBEAM, and Atheros Communications, where expertise in high-speed communication technologies was applied. Jeff holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, a Master’s degree in Computer Speech and Language Processing from the University of Cambridge, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Harvard University.
