Jeffrey Jacob

Jeffrey Jacob is a software and machine learning developer with extensive experience in both academic and industry settings. Most recently, at the University of California, Berkeley, Jeffrey developed distributed applications for the Savio supercomputing cluster and launched a chatbot service. Previously, as a Software Research Intern at the University of California, Santa Cruz, significant contributions included creating a software pipeline for automating animal genome sequencing, optimizing code efficiency, and collaborating on data visualization. Additional roles included a math tutor at Kumon North America, a software engineer focusing on YouTube Search at Google, and a Chief Executive Officer for AequitasAI, an AI legal solutions startup. Jeffrey also served as an SWE and ML intern at Merck, where an end-to-end software recommendation system for researchers was built. Educational qualifications consist of a Master’s degree in Software Engineering and Molecular Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor’s degree in Bioinformatics from UC Santa Cruz, graduating with Highest Honors.
