Jenny Coombes

Jenny Coombes possesses extensive experience in competition law, having held various legal positions in prominent organizations. Coombes began a legal career at Herbert Smith as an Associate from September 2004 to September 2011. Following this, Coombes joined Google, serving as Associate Competition Counsel from September 2011 to April 2014, and then as Senior Competition Counsel from June 2016 to January 2020. Coombes transitioned to the Competition and Markets Authority as Legal Director and later as Senior Legal Director for Mergers, Markets, and OIM from January 2020 to July 2021. Most recently, Coombes served at Meta as Director and Associate General Counsel for competition from November 2021 to September 2023. Educational qualifications include a BA in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from the University of Oxford, a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from City University, and an LPC from BPP Law School.
