Jeronimo Martinez is an experienced researcher with a strong focus on quantum computing and cosmology. Previous roles include serving as an Infrared Camera and Cosmology Researcher at the University of Chicago, where work involved the design and implementation of infrared cameras for cosmic ray detection, and as an intern at Fermilab, contributing to experiments on quantum gravity. Currently, Jeronimo is a Student Researcher with the NISQ team at Google Quantum AI, developing experimental techniques for quantum systems, while also pursuing a PhD in Quantum Simulation Research at Princeton University, focusing on quantum optics and superconducting quantum circuits. Jeronimo has a published first-author paper in IOP Classical and Quantum Gravity related to cosmic string data analysis conducted during time at Caltech. Jeronimo holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics from the University of Chicago and a Doctor of Philosophy from Princeton University, alongside an Associate’s Degree from Miami Dade College.
