Jian Chen

Jian Chen is an experienced optical network engineer with a diverse background in networking and optics. Holding a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Optical Communications from the University of Cambridge, completed between 2013 and 2016, and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Columbia Engineering, earned in 2009-2010, Jian has worked at prominent companies such as Google and Amazon in optical network engineering roles. Additionally, experience at Intel Corporation includes serving as a Senior R&D Optical Engineer, while at Lumentum, Jian was a Staff Hardware Development Engineer within the R&D group. Jian also contributed to academia as a PhD researcher and undergraduate supervisor at the University of Cambridge, and participated in the CSSA-Cambridge Delegation Trip.
