Jie Zhu

Jie Zhu possesses extensive experience in mechanical and aerospace engineering, with a PhD from UC Irvine and a BS from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. From January 2015 to December 2021, Jie served as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at UC Irvine's MAE department, contributing to courses such as Thermodynamics, Aerospace Laboratory, and Propulsion, while also conducting research on non-classical fluids in the CFD lab. This involved developing Fortran code to simulate heavy gas fluid behavior, specifically focusing on the Bethe–Zel'dovich–Thompson (BZT) fluid. In August 2018, Jie interned at COMAC America Corporation, where control logic for a black box ejection system was developed and tested in MATLAB Stateflow. Currently, Jie works as a Software Engineer for Google Ads since August 2022.
