Joanne Zhao

Joanne Zhao is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree at Yale University, where they study CS & Ethics, Politics, and Economics. They have held various internships, including a legal internship at Vivo Capital, where they analyzed data security compliance and researched AI regulations. Joanne was also the first high school student to intern at the University of Southern California's Fan Magnetic Resonance Imaging Research Lab, where they developed machine learning software for medical imaging. As a Communication and Consent Educator at Yale College Dean's Office, they contribute to promoting awareness on important issues. Additionally, Joanne interned at the University of California, Santa Cruz, where they analyzed astronomical data and co-authored research accepted at major scientific meetings.
