Joe Xie

Joe Xie is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in machine learning and artificial intelligence. Currently serving as a Senior Engineering Manager and Software Engineer in Core ML/AI Frameworks at Google, Joe Xie leads a team of approximately 30 members focused on AI Workload Acceleration. Prior to this role, Joe Xie was a Senior ML Engineering Manager at Twitter, where responsibilities included heading the ML & GenAI Platform team and driving initiatives in Generative AI and machine learning infrastructure. Additional experience includes significant roles in machine learning at Amazon and foundational internships at major tech companies such as Facebook and Microsoft. Joe Xie holds a Master's degree in Signal & Image Processing with a focus on Computer Vision and Machine Learning from the University of Washington, where studies included advanced topics in neural networks.
