Johan Sweldens

Johan Sweldens is an accomplished aerospace engineer and software engineer with extensive experience in research, teaching, and engineering roles. At Cornell University, Johan served as an undergraduate research assistant, designing advanced mass spectrometry devices and conducting simulations. As a graduate teaching assistant at Columbia University, responsibilities included grading and assisting in courses related to deep learning and systems. Johan's engineering experience includes leading design projects at MITRE, developing robotic arms, and conducting thermal analysis for communications hardware. While interning at Google, Johan designed a Convolutional Neural Network for device failure classification. Johan holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Cornell University, a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University, and has pursued studies in Computer Science at Harvard Extension School.
