John Schlemmer is an accomplished UX and motion designer with extensive experience in leading design projects for high-profile companies. Starting his career at Roxor Games and Palm, Inc., Schlemmer developed interactive content and user interfaces before joining Google, where significant contributions included serving as the Motion Lead for Gmail and authoring the first systematic motion guidelines for Material Design. Currently, Schlemmer directs UX for Google's core communication products, overseeing design vision and cross-functional teams. Additional experiences include contract roles with various brands, founding Stuffography, and earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interactive Media Design from The Art Institutes.
