John Wang

John Wang PhD is an accomplished expert in battery engineering and power systems with a robust career spanning multiple high-profile technology companies. After serving as a Graduate Student Researcher in Prof. Bruce Dunn’s Lab at UCLA from 2002 to 2007, John progressed through various roles including Process Engineer at Spectrolab, Inc. in 2001, and DC Storage Engineer at Southern California Edison from 2015 to 2015. John held significant positions at Amazon Lab126 and HRL Laboratories, LLC, focusing on battery technology and systems engineering. Currently, John is the Sr. Director of Power Technologies at Google, following roles as Sr. Director of Battery and Power Systems at Magic Leap and Director of Battery Engineering at Mojo Vision Inc. Additionally, John has recently worked as Director of Battery Product Development at Blue Current, Inc. John's academic credentials include a BS in Chemical Engineering and MS and PhD degrees in Materials Science and Engineering from UCLA.
