Josh Oosterman is a Senior Staff Software Engineer at Google, where they have worked for 12 years on various projects supporting planet-scale WAN and data center networks. Currently, they are focused on accelerating and transforming the deployment of new data centers. Throughout their career, Josh has held positions as a technical lead, engineering manager, and individual contributor, and has experience in roles such as on-call support for Google’s internal developer infrastructure. Before joining Google, they developed GIS software and created "Kickass Undelete," an open-source tool with over 500,000 downloads. Josh earned a first-class honors BSc in Computer Science from the University of Canterbury in 2010.
