Joydeep Mondal is currently a Senior Machine Learning Engineer on the Google Maps team. Previously, Joydeep worked as a Senior Data Scientist at Flipkart, developing pre-trained and fine-tuned large language models for e-commerce applications. Before that, Joydeep was a Data Scientist at Amazon India, focusing on Compliance Operations, Workplace Health and Safety, and Customer Behavior Analytics. Joydeep also has experience as an Advisory Data Scientist at IBM and a Research Software Engineer at IBM Research in Delhi, contributing to the award-winning IBM Watson Recruitment project. In addition to professional work, Joydeep is pursuing a Ph.D. in Natural Language Processing at IIT Kanpur and holds a Master’s in Technology and a Bachelor’s in Engineering in Computer Science.
