Software Engineering Manager

Julian Walker is a seasoned software engineering professional with extensive experience in both startup and corporate environments. As Co-Founder and Head of Software Engineering at FiftyThree, Inc. from June 2011 to March 2017, Julian played a pivotal role in developing popular products like the drawing app Paper, the Pencil stylus, and the collaborative tool Paste. Prior to that, Julian contributed to the core technology at Seadragon Software and was integral to its acquisition by Microsoft, where notable achievements included developing the Seadragon engine and contributions to TED talks and Bing Maps. Currently, Julian serves as a Software Engineering Manager at Google, overseeing teams focused on ML Compilation and the IREE open-source project. Julian holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Washington, earned in 2005.
