Julie Y.

Julie Y. is a Staff CMF Designer at Google, specializing in color, material, and finish design. They have a multidisciplinary background that encompasses contract furniture, consumer electronics, soft goods, and textiles. Prior to their current role, Julie served as a Global Material Design Lead at Steelcase and as a Senior CMF Designer at Fitbit. They also gained experience as an Industrial Designer at New Deal Design and worked as a design intern in various companies. Julie holds an MA in Textile Futures from Central Saint Martins and a BA in Industrial Design from California College of the Arts, and has lived in locations such as Hawaii, Grand Rapids, the Bay Area, New York, and London.
