Jun Nishimura

Jun Nishimura is an accomplished Senior Staff Silicon Engineer with extensive experience in imaging algorithms and computer vision. At Google, from March 2018 to June 2023, Jun led the Advanced Technology Group, spearheading algorithm development related to camera machine learning and imaging hardware/software, while also managing the technical roadmap and academia relations. Prior to Google, Jun served at Intel Corporation, where responsibilities included leading ISP design and pioneering machine learning-based image quality tuning, along with a significant focus on next-generation imaging algorithms. Jun's earlier roles include R&D positions at Panasonic and The Bite, adding to a strong academic foundation with a Ph.D. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Keio University.
