Jung Hong

Jung Hong is an engineering leader and machine learning practitioner with over 8 years of experience in algorithm development, data analysis, and design of experiments across a variety of systems, including speech, image, IoT, and consumer electronics. They have provided data-driven solutions for hardware, systems integration, and manufacturing challenges. Currently, Jung serves as an Engineering Lead in Machine Learning at Cruise and has held leadership roles at Bear Robotics, Inc. and in various capacities at Google and Fitbit. Jung obtained a Ph.D. in electrical engineering and a master’s degree in statistics, showcasing strong expertise in statistical modeling, quantitative analysis, and scientific computing, complemented by a portfolio of patents.
