Kai Ye has extensive experience in software engineering and management, particularly in cloud AI and advertising technologies. At Google, from November 2010 to January 2020, Kai served as Senior Engineering Manager for Google Cloud AI, leading the Vertex AI Model Garden's product experience, growth, infrastructure, and services, as well as previously holding the position of Staff Software Engineer and Tech Lead for Google Ads, focusing on display advertising and ad quality. Prior to Google, Kai worked at IBM as a Staff Software Engineer from July 2006 to November 2010, specializing in business intelligence and translation systems. Kai began a professional journey at Microsoft Research Asia as a Visiting Student from July 2005 to March 2006 and holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Zhejiang University.
