Kalyan Kar

Kalyan Kar has extensive experience in performance engineering, with a focus on GPU technologies and multimedia verification. At AMD, Kalyan contributed to the performance analysis and validation of next-generation HPC GPUs in the Compute GPU team from December 2020 to February 2022. Prior to that, Kalyan worked at Qualcomm from July 2012 to December 2020 as a GPU Performance Analysis Engineer, where responsibilities included performance enhancement and bottleneck analysis of GPU pipelines and drivers, as well as a strong understanding of memory management and performance analysis for OpenGL and OpenCL benchmarks. Currently, Kalyan is serving as a Performance Design Verification Engineer at Google, specializing in multimedia performance verification at the SoC level. Kalyan holds a dual degree in Electronics and Electrical Communication Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, completed in 2012.
