Karan Bhatia is currently the Global Head of Government Affairs & Public Policy at Google, a position held since 2018. Previously, Karan served in various prominent roles, including Deputy Under Secretary for Industry & Security at the U.S. Department of Commerce and Assistant Secretary for Aviation & International Affairs at the U.S. Department of Transportation. Karan's extensive experience also includes serving as the Deputy U.S. Trade Representative and as President of Government Affairs & Policy at GE. Karan earned a law degree from Columbia Law School, completing their studies in 1993.
