Karan Thapar is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in investment banking and product management. Karan was an Associate and Investment Banking Strat at Goldman Sachs from May 2016 to December 2017 and also served as a Summer Analyst within the same group. Prior to this, Karan completed a Research Internship at Siemens, where efforts led to an 11% reduction in error in camera setups through the application of Support Vector Machines in Matlab. Karan then joined UnitedHealth Group as a Research Engineer in the R&D Team from June 2013 to May 2014. Following this, Karan held the position of Product Manager 2 at Microsoft from February 2020 to October 2022 and is currently a Product Manager at Google since October 2022. Karan holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the International Institute of Information Technology, along with a brief educational stint in Economics at WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business).
