Kate Montgomery has a diverse background with experience in both outdoor leadership and software engineering. From 2010 to 2015, Kate served as a Canoe Tripping Counsellor at The Taylor Statten Camps, leading various canoe trips in northern Ontario, culminating in an impressive 50-day expedition in 2015. In addition, Kate worked as an Instructional Assistant at New York University during the fall of 2014, where responsibilities included grading and maintaining labs for a graduate-level Operating Systems course. Since September 2015, Kate has been employed as a Software Engineer at Google. Kate holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from New York University, awarded in 2015, and completed high school at Cate School in 2011.
