Kate Smith

Kate Smith is currently a Senior Counsel in Regulatory Affairs at Google, specializing in competition and antitrust law, cross-border litigation, and complex appeals. They have served as a Trial Attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice and the U.S. Department of Energy, and have experience as a Judicial Clerk for the U.S. Court of Appeals, Second Circuit. Additionally, Kate contributes as an Adjunct Professor at American University Washington College of Law and has held associate positions at prominent law firms including Jones Day and Quinn Emanuel. An alumnus of Georgetown University with a Master of Laws, Kate also holds a Juris Doctor from UCLA and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Economics from the University of Iowa.
