Katherine Lee

Katherine Lee is a software engineer at Google, specializing in Google Doodles, with a strong foundation in software development and research. Katherine gained initial experience as an undergraduate researcher at the University of Florida, where C++ software was developed to enhance phylogenetic comparative methods for biologists. Previous internships at Lockheed Martin allowed Katherine to contribute to front-end features and API modifications in JavaFX applications, as well as to the design of interactive interior panels and web tools for simulation management using various programming languages. Katherine also served as a teaching assistant and held roles in medical withdrawal processing, managing confidential documentation at the University of Florida Dean of Students Office. Katherine received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Florida in 2020, alongside leadership experience as the Director of Design for SwampHacks, a hackathon event aimed at promoting engagement within the university.
