Katie Rha is an accomplished professional with a strong background in economics and leadership. As the founder and president of Women in Economics from August 2017 to May 2018, Katie initiated valuable initiatives within the field. Experience at the Federal Reserve Board, from August 2018 to July 2020, included roles as senior research assistant, economic research intern, and financial analyst, contributing to capital markets and financial stability. While serving as an undergraduate teaching assistant in the UNC Economics Department from January 2016 to December 2017, Katie facilitated learning in Intermediate Micro and Intermediate Macro courses. Additional internships included a geographic expansion internship at TodayTix and a people analyst position at Google Fiber. Currently, Katie serves as the strategy and operations lead at Google since December 2024. Educational qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in economics with honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a degree in economics from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
