Kay Maloney is an experienced design professional with a strong background in both civil engineering and user experience design. With a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from The George Washington University and a Master of Science in Industrial Design from Art Center College of Design, Kay has worked across several roles, starting with civil and structural engineering at C and C Consulting Engineers, focusing on historic bridge rehabilitation and new bridge design. Subsequently, Kay transitioned into product design roles, including UX design, holding positions at IBM, athenahealth, and Google. Currently serving as a Senior UX Designer at Google, Kay also contributed as a UX Designer at Google from January 2022 to November 2024, and as a Senior Designer at athenahealth from June 2018 to April 2020. Additional experience includes project management internships at Gilbane and The George Washington University.
