Kiran Pitkar has extensive experience in network engineering and telecommunications, beginning as a student assistant at Career Services, University of Colorado, from 2007 to 2008, followed by a role as a DNOC Technician at Level 3 Communications from January 2008 to June 2011, where skills in troubleshooting and managing high-capacity networks were developed. Kiran also served as a Network Planning Intern at Level 3 Communications, contributing to the GNS Metro Design team. Currently, Kiran works at Google as a Site Reliability Engineer and Network Engineer, leveraging a strong educational background that includes a Bachelor’s in Engineering in Telecommunications from Watumull Institute (2002-2006), a Master of Science in Telecommunications from the University of Colorado Boulder (2006-2008), and a Professional Certificate from the Stanford Graduate School of Business (2022-2023). Additionally, experience as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Colorado provided foundational teaching in networking principles and the OSI model.
