Laura Vardoulakis has extensive experience in user experience research and technical support within the healthcare technology sector. Starting as a Senior Technical Support Analyst at ProVation Medical from July 2003 to August 2006, Laura provided support for ProVation software in approximately 200 locations and instructed new hospital software administrators. Following this role, Laura served as a Research Intern at Microsoft Research in 2011, working on a mobile application for Emergency Department patients. From June 2013 to May 2021, Laura advanced through various roles at Google, ultimately becoming a Staff User Experience Researcher at Google Health. Prior research experience includes a position as a Research Assistant at Northeastern University, with a focus on developing health-improvement systems for hospital patients. Laura holds a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science and Spanish from Augustana University, a Master of Science in Computer Science, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science with a concentration in Human-Computer Interaction, both from Northeastern University.
