Layal Rouhana

Layal Rouhana, PhD, is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in integrated circuits packaging and process development, particularly in wireless communication and next-generation sequencing applications. With a strong background at Qualcomm, Layal held positions such as Senior Integrated Circuits Packaging Engineer and Staff Integrated Circuits Packaging Engineer, contributing to significant projects and receiving multiple QualStar Awards. At Illumina, Layal was instrumental in the development of a mentorship program and recognized for technical and leadership excellence, earning the Most Valuable Player and Execution Excellence Awards. Currently, Layal serves as an Advanced Integrated Circuit Packaging Technologist at Google, while also co-founding and co-leading Employee Resource Groups aimed at empowering women in technology. Academic achievements include a PhD from Florida State University and a Maitrise from Lebanese University.
