Leland Gardner

Leland Gardner is currently a Senior Patent Counsel at Google, where they provide patent, trade secret, and open source counseling while managing the portfolio. They also teach a graduate-level seminar on intellectual property for engineers at the University of Washington. Previously, Leland held various roles in patent law, including Patent Associate at Fish & Richardson P.C. and Associate Patent Counsel at Google. Their career began with service as a Junior Officer in the US Navy from 2000 to 2003. Leland also gained experience as a law clerk at Duane Morris LLP and as an IP Legal Intern at Jones Day.
