AI Ethics and Safety

Lindsey Batteast is an accomplished professional with a robust background in finance and public policy. Batteast served as Vice President of Finance for the Harvard Kennedy School Student Government and held a role in Prudential Regulation and Asset Management at the American Bankers Association. Experience includes a fellowship focusing on racial and disability justice with Humanity in Action and consulting on AI/ML products at Guliwang. Additionally, Batteast has contributed to the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation as an Emerging Leader and taught as a Teaching Fellow at Harvard Kennedy School. Further internships include fiscal policy at the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget and digital inclusion research at Indiana University Bloomington. Batteast will work as an AI Governance Consultant for the City of South Bend and has a current role at Google in AI Ethics and Safety. Education includes a Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs from Indiana University Bloomington, cross-registration at both MIT and Harvard Business School, and a Master in Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School, specializing in Business and Government Policy with a focus on AI Governance.
