Liqun Cheng is a Google Fellow specializing in cluster performance and TCO optimization, with a focus on computer architecture and large-scale distributed systems. They began their career as a Performance Architect at Intel from 2007 to 2010 before joining Google, where they have served as a Distinguished Engineer and Sr. Director since 2010. Liqun earned a BS in Computer Science from Shanghai Jiao Tong University (1998-2002) and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Utah (2002-2007).
