Lu Gao

Lu Gao is an experienced professional in imaging technologies, currently serving as the Director of Imaging Technologies at Google since August 2017, overseeing Pixel Camera Technology and Product. Prior to this role, Lu Gao held positions such as Head of Optical Sensing at Nuro, where expertise in 2D and 3D Imaging Technology and LiDAR was developed, and Tech Lead for Android Camera Hardware at Google, contributing to key projects like Nexus and Project Tango. Earlier career highlights include serving as Engineering Manager at OmniVision and Senior Opto-electronic Engineer at CDM Optics. Lu Gao holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder and a B.S. in Optics from Zhejiang University.
