Luigi Bruno has extensive experience in software engineering and project leadership, particularly in the application of AI and SLAM techniques within Geographic products at Google from February 2014 to October 2019. As a Tech Lead Manager, Luigi managed a team of six software engineers, establishing data-driven processes to enhance project efficiency. Previous roles include Senior Software Engineer, focusing on full stack development for Android’s real-time positioning, and Software Engineer, contributing to back-end development for Maps' accuracy. Prior to Google, Luigi served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the German Aerospace Center, researching indoor navigation systems, and as a Visiting Scientist at the Centre for Maritime Research and Experimentation. Luigi holds a PhD in Information Theory and a Master's degree in Electric Engineering from Università degli Studi Salerno.
