Luke Barrington

Luke Barrington is the Director of Climate, Weather & Geospatial AI at Google, where they seek out innovation in artificial intelligence and machine learning to develop world-positive applications. They hold a PhD in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the University of California, San Diego, with a thesis focused on music analysis through machine learning. Luke has co-founded startups and has held key roles at various organizations, including as Head of Platform Products at DigitalGlobe and Product Lead at Wing, where they launched a pioneering drone food delivery service. Additionally, they contributed to GlobalXplorer°, an initiative aimed at engaging communities in digital archaeology through crowdsourcing technology.
