Manan Jain

Manan Jain is a software engineer with extensive experience in designing and implementing complex systems. At PhonePe from August 2020 to July 2024, Manan designed a distributed archival system for a central fulfillment service, significantly reducing storage costs and improving data retention. Prior to PhonePe, Manan worked as an analyst at American Express, where data retrieval pipelines were curated using Apache Spark and Hadoop, and MySQL queries were crafted to enhance the online reward redemption workflow. During a Google Summer of Code internship, Manan developed an open-source plugin for real-time simulation in medical research, integrating the Pulse Physiology Engine with the SOFA visualization framework. Manan holds a Bachelor of Technology degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, earned between 2016 and 2020.
