Mario Fanelli

Mario Fanelli is a Senior Staff Site Reliability Engineering Manager at Google, where they focus on enhancing the company's technical infrastructure. Previously, Mario held various roles within Google, including Staff Site Reliability Engineer and Site Reliability Engineer, managing and automating user-facing serving infrastructure. They completed their Ph.D. in Electronics, Computer Science and Systems at the University of Bologna, where their dissertation centered on middleware for quality-based context distribution in mobile systems. Additionally, Mario held a temporary research fellowship at the University of Bologna, and participated in a visiting Ph.D. program at the University of Ottawa, contributing to context-aware applications in disaster scenarios. Mario also gained experience through an internship at IBM Haifa Research Lab, where they focused on VM placement in Cloud data centers.
