Mark Díaz

Mark Díaz is a Senior Research Scientist at Google Research, focusing on social bias and algorithmic technologies to analyze human behavior, especially within underrepresented social groups. They previously served as a Virtual Reality Research Programmer at the Stanford Virtual Human Interaction Lab and as a Data Manager and Analyst at OTV. Mark holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Technology & Social Behavior from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Science, Technology, and Society from Stanford University. Their work involves examining the values and biases embedded in natural language datasets and researching machine learning fairness.
