Mark S

Mark S has extensive experience in law enforcement and security management, beginning a career with the U.S. Customs Service as a Special Agent from August 1988 to November 2001. Following this, Mark transitioned to the Department of Homeland Security, serving as Operations Chief for the HSI Office of International Operations in Europe (November 2012 to August 2013) and achieving the role of Special Agent in Charge in Miami from August 2016 until retirement in January 2019. Additional roles within the Department of Homeland Security included various leadership positions, such as Unit Chief for the HSI National Gang Unit and National Program Manager for the Illicit Finance & Proceeds of Crime Unit. Mark also worked for Microsoft as a Lead Investigator and Senior Program Manager in Corporate Information Security before joining Google in January 2019 as Global Operations Lead for Protective Services. Mark holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Washington State University, earned in 1988.
