Mark Smith

Mark Smith is an experienced aviation professional currently serving as the Senior Captain and Aviation Standards and Training Program Manager at Google since March 2011. In this role, Mark Smith oversees the scheduling and management of all crewmember training provided by external vendors, managing vendor contracts and budgets, and developing internal training programs, including a training currency tracking system. Prior to joining Google, Mark Smith held positions at KaiserAir as a Captain from 1995 to 1999 and at TAG Aviation as a Client Aviation Manager and Senior Captain from 1999 to 2006. Mark Smith also holds a Technical Operations/Aviation Management Certificate from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, earned between 2001 and 2015.
